Ömer Cerrahoğlu (born 3 May 1995[1]) is a Romanian child prodigy in mathematics. At the age of 14 years, 80 days, he won a gold medal at the 2009 International Mathematical Olympiad, making him the third youngest gold medalist in IMO history, behind Terence Tao and Raúl Chávez Sarmiento.[2] Since then, he won two more silver medals at the 2010 and 2011 IMO's missing the gold by only 1 and 2 points respectively. He currently studies at the Gheorghe Sincai National College, Baia Mare.
